Within the scheduled diplomatic activities of the Embassy for this year, the Ambassador Branko T. Nešković visited Wales on the 11th and 12th December, having had the meetings with the officials of the hospitable homeland of the old Celts. In the meeting with the First Minister Carwyn Jones, actual political situation in Wales and United Kingdom was discussed. The Welsh know a lot about our country and are glad to see Bosnia and Herzegovina advancing on its way toward the EU integration.  They welcomed the initiative to organize next year an investment conference in London, and the First Minister committed to ensure participation of the Welsh companies, expressing his hope for some of them to find their interest in a more concrete business engagement, whether in Bosnia and Herzegovina or in Wales.

A very open discussion was conducted with both Director and Deputy Director of the Agency for Trade and Investments, accompanied with a presentation of business potentials of the two countries. The Welsh hosts were glad to hear about the investment conference planned for the next year, where they would take part, and also they expressed their openness to cooperation with our companies.

Accompanied by Director, we visited the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, situaed in the central part of Cardiff, currently having 800 students from all over the world. The visit to Wales was finalized at the Faculty of Journalism of the Cardiff University. Talking to Nick Bodycombe, European Office Manager, Research, Innovation and Enterprise Services, Cardiff University and Nick Mosdell, Deputy Director MA International Public Relations and Global Communications Management of the Cardiff University, the professors and the students of the Cardiff University, we were told that this Faculty is open to cooperation with our universities and that one student from our country had earned his master degree from this Faculty last year .

This visit to Wales was used as an opportunity to present in an indirect and optimistic manner the image of our country in light of the opportunities for its economic progress and stability. During the visit the promotional material available to the Embassy was distributed, which is normally disseminated on such occasions, while the visit itself was characterized with an exceptional hospitality and attention rendered by our hosts.
